Regular Public Courses SPRING 2018

Spring is knocking on the doors and you might want to spend it in a warm tango embrace. There are a few free spots in the spring courses - it is possible to join us by the end of April.

The courses consist of 12 weeks (12 lessons). You can choose from TANGO 1 for beginners (with 50% discount for couples), TANGO 2 for pre-intermediates, TANGO 3/4 for intermediates and advanced. If you miss out on any lesson, you can make it up in a paralelly running course or at Wednesday praktikas.  

Courses at Bailemos run on a trimester basis: autumn (from September), winter (from January) and spring (from April). About course content you can read more here.

Courses take place in a stylish studio Bailemos equipped with a quality wooden floor, mirror wall, air-conditioning and separate dressing room. Maximum number of couples in the course is 12.  Registrations are submitted through

The lecturers Ivana, Barbora, Nolwenn and Jan are looking forward to see you. They perceive tango as a form of art and entertainment. The teaching is in Czech with English translation if needed.

Lastly, we would like to point out, that every Wednesday 20:00 - 21:30 it is possible to practise your tango at praktikas (a space for tranining) and every Saturday from 21:00 we give a milonga, that is a social night with tango argentino.

Weekend Seminars of Argentine Tango

16th - 17th June 2018

Weekend seminars are dedicated not just to those who want to try out tango and do not have time for regular courses but also to all dancers who want to improve their dance skills. Beginners will be introduced to tango basics together and art of improvisation, advanced dancers will get a profound insight into a specific segment of tango. 

The seminars take place on Saturday and Sunday, each day for 3 hours, that is 6 hours of intensive dancing. Sunday is a follow-up to Saturday. The place is a stylish Studio Bailemos in Prague Holešovice.

Beginners will become familiar with the basics of Argentine tango, such as embrace, communication in couple, technique of walking, basic step, simple figures and the art of improvisation. All this connected to beautiful tango music and its rythms. The seminar will give you a taste of what Argentine Tango represents and how rich it can be.

Advanced will focus on a specific topic as for ex. giro, sacada, gancho or on a more general themes like musicality, rhythmical elements, tango nuevo etc. Each seminar will offer a review of basic technical aspects related to the topic and suggestions of figures and sequences suitable for dancing at milongas and their smooth integration in dance.

Jan and Ivana will lead you through the seminars. Only couples can register. The registration is made through the registration form (see table below). The maximum number of couples in one seminar is 12. You can also register just for one day (choose Saturday or Sunday in the registration form).
